Our Mission

The mission of the Board for Geologists and Geophysicists is to serve and to protect the public.

Our Vision

In all instances where the health, safety and well-being of Californians, individually or collectively, and environmental quality depend on diligent, competent and ethical practice of professional geology and geophysics, consumers will have access to a competitive pool of qualified licensees who are fully accountable to the people they serve and will have ready access to useful information on selecting and evaluating the services and work products rendered by such qualified licensees.
